No one could quite figure out what had made Inferno so infamously withdrawn and proud. Some speculated that it had to do with her previous bonded. Where most had been skittish or sad, or even a bit fierce at first, that didn't seem to be the case for the mare. She came to them with her head held high, as if she'd challenge the first individual who questioned her state of being. 

Others whispered that it was as a result of her previous mate, the one that had fathered the lovely shadow elemental. It was true, she did refuse to speak of Dragonfly, although none were entirely certain if that was as a result of her desperate loss, or some other trauma. She did still speak openly of Fyre. She was a devoted mother, if nothing else.

She kept company with very few of her fellow Serians, preferring to be social with a couple of the reclusive females only. More often than not, she could be found by herself, enjoying the uninterrupted silence. She seemed to have struck up a friendship with Gem, an equally striking mare who had some similar interests and issues it seemed. While Gem was typically more outgoing, having been with Talia's herd longer, the two seemed to understand one another on a level that the others did not, short of the Lady.

Perhaps some day she would open up to another, but for now, the fiery mare was content to keep her secrets.
